The first Day of the trek concludes setting our camp in the Village of San Juan , where one can be interrelated with the peasants of the place.
Day 02: Yanacocha Lagoon
From the Jakajlluyoc Creek a horseshoe path head us to the highest point reached during the journey, the pass of Tuqsana is at 4000 meters high. From this point we have an impressive view of the snowy peak Illawuaman or San Juan , as well as of the whole valley; from here the descent begins arriving at the Yanacocha lagoon located at approximately about 3,800 meters, surrounded by a forest of "queñuales" native endangered specie of trees.
